On your first day, you receive product documents, a creator spreadsheet and access to a few accounts. You could start searching, but you are not sure who fits. You could send emails, but you do not yet know which terms you can offer.

Organize the first month around understanding the assignment, reviewing candidates, advancing a conversation and documenting the next step. The timing below is an adjustable example. The useful measure is what you can demonstrate, not a required number of deals by a particular date.

## Week one: understand the product and the offer

Confirm the target customer, the problem the product addresses and the facts that have been verified. Learn whether the campaign needs awareness, product experience or content production. Identify who approves costs, samples, deliverables and replies.

Read a few existing partnerships. Notice the questions creators ask, the conditions already agreed and the points that required clarification. Produce a one-page product and collaboration summary for your mentor to review.

[OneCrew](https://onecrewai.io/resources/user-guide?ref=blog.onecrewai.io) is an AI workspace for finding creators, organizing communication and progressing partnerships. After completing the necessary setup, ask your connected AI to review relevant material or synchronized conversations and identify common questions and missing information. Check that list with your mentor so you know what to ask next.

## Week two: build a small shortlist with evidence

Focus on one product, target market and use case. Record each candidate’s public profile, relevant content, matching reason and business contact source. Leave unknowns as questions instead of filling every spreadsheet cell with guesses.

A useful review is simple: ask the new operator to explain why one randomly chosen candidate belongs on the list, where the evidence is and what still needs confirmation.

Use your connected AI to search with OneCrew, review the candidates, save approved leads to a named campaign group and read it back. Retain the fit evidence and open questions for each person so your reviewer can check the shortlist and help prepare the invitation.

A focused search makes a useful second-week exercise. In this example, the task is to find Twitter/X creators discussing commuter backpacks and bag organization. Review the scope, then explain the content evidence, contact routes and unresolved questions to your reviewer.

OneCrew: review the creator search scope.

Ask the trainee to distinguish individual creators from the editorial team, identify the linked evidence and explain what still needs checking. Treat the scores as content-fit judgments, not the likelihood of securing a partnership.

## Week three: complete a small outreach cycle with review

Work from verified candidates. Prepare an invitation, inspect the reply, organize the conditions and define the next action. Have the responsible teammate check the recipient, product claims and compensation model before sending.

When a creator asks about an unconfirmed condition, obtain the answer internally first. Learning to identify the missing decision is part of learning the job.

Use the contact context in OneCrew and ask your connected AI to prepare the invitation or next response. After the mentor’s review, confirm the send, check the result and inspect the follow-up task. You are practicing the whole process rather than only polishing an email.

## Week four: explain what happened and what comes next

Identify concrete obstacles from the activity: poor candidate fit, missing product information, an internal decision or a reply with no follow-up. Bring one reviewable example for each issue and explain what you did and who needs to act next.

Use the OneCrew communication and task records to prepare an AI-assisted summary. Verify the evidence yourself and propose next month’s work. A short report is enough if your mentor can see that you can identify a problem and prepare a sensible next action.

| Stage | Reviewable output |
| ---------------------- | ------------------------------------------ |
| Understand the offer | Product summary and open conditions |
| Review candidates | Matching reasons and public sources |
| Advance a conversation | Reviewed draft, reply and next action |
| Review the month | Specific obstacles, evidence and next plan |

You do not need to master every feature on day one. Start in OneCrew with the information for your current assignment, complete one evidence-based search and prepare one reviewed invitation. Connecting a suitable creator to a clear next step is useful progress.
