A Pinterest creator’s media kit leads with a large monthly view count. Your question is more specific: which content relates to your product, and does it send people somewhere they can learn more? An account-wide headline number cannot answer that on its own.

**Choose metrics around the campaign goal, request data with a consistent date range and content scope, and inspect the individual Pins behind the outbound clicks.** A Pin is an image or video post on Pinterest. Its metrics describe different actions.

## Distinguish exposure from a visit off Pinterest

If your campaign aims to send people to a product website, ask about outbound clicks rather than treating saves or Pin clicks as substitutes. Pinterest defines outbound clicks as actions leading to a destination outside Pinterest. They are not necessarily unique visitors, and they are not orders.

Write down the objective before requesting data. For example: “Assess whether this creator’s storage content has evidence of relevant off-platform visits.” OneCrew helps organize creator research and partnership emails. A worksheet can hold that objective alongside the source, reporting scope, and questions still to resolve.

## Ask for the filters as well as the numbers

A useful screenshot preserves the date range, content type, and metric name. Pinterest Analytics offers filters for dates and for organic versus paid and earned content, among others. Check those settings before comparing results. Account-wide totals and a handful of sponsored Pins are different datasets.

| ---------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------- |
| Date and content scope | Recent performance versus a longer history |
| Outbound clicks and relevant impressions | The off-platform action and its reporting context |
| Individual Pin links | The topic, format, and actual destination |
| Recent and older content | Whether activity comes from new work or older Pins |

Match the reporting scope before comparing clicks on specific Pins.

Pinterest says outbound clicks are measured from the date a link is added. A Pin that received its link later did not have the same opportunity to generate clicks throughout its history. Record that limitation instead of inventing a comparable figure.

## Check whether the successful content fits this campaign

Open the Pins supplied by the creator. What question do they answer? What makes the image or information useful? What appears after the click? Evidence for one topic does not automatically transfer to an unrelated product.

Include a sample of ordinary content alongside standout posts. Ask how the sample was chosen and use aggregate reporting; reader-level personal data is not needed for this assessment.

Keep the content links, topics, and screenshot references together in a OneCrew worksheet. Prepare a follow-up draft around the missing items, then update the same candidate record when the creator replies.

## A focused data request

> For this campaign, we’re interested in \[topic\] content that helps readers \[purpose of the destination page\]. Could you share outbound-click reporting for \[date range\], with the date and content-type filters visible? A few relevant Pins and a sample of typical posts would help us understand the topics and destinations. Please redact anything sensitive.

If the request stalls, [narrow the creator data request](https://blog.onecrewai.io/en/ask-creators-for-metrics/) before asking for more screenshots.

For the next Pinterest candidate, record the dates, specific content, and outbound-click evidence in OneCrew. That gives the view count a context your team can actually assess.
