A Creator Won’t Share a Home Address. How Do You Arrange Delivery?
Respect a creator’s receiving preferences, then check carrier, parcel and collection requirements. Includes a delivery checklist and confirmation email.
A creator wants to try the product but does not want to give a home address to a brand they have just met. Repeatedly asking for a full address will not resolve that concern. Explain who is shipping what and who will handle the details, let the creator propose a receiving method they are comfortable with, then have logistics confirm it can accept this parcel.
A creator’s question about PO boxes and business addresses highlights this preference. It should not be treated as a lack of interest in the collaboration. A home address is not the only possible option for every shipment.
Explain the shipment before collecting the details
The first message should identify the brand and shipper, the sample, the intended dispatch window, the destination country or region, and the designated way to submit receiving details. Let the creator suggest a business address, mailbox service or another available option. Logistics can then check whether it works. Only describe information-handling practices your team actually follows.
OneCrew supports creator email workflows and persistent workspace tables. Use the existing conversation to prepare a message that asks about receiving preferences. In the table, track whether you are waiting for a method, checking it with logistics, or ready to ship. Keep the full address in your team’s designated controlled shipping system; the collaboration record can hold the status and owner.

Match the receiving method to the actual parcel
An address-looking string does not establish that every carrier or parcel will be accepted. Check the receiving service alongside the carrier, dimensions, signature requirements and any restrictions relevant to the product.
| Check | Who can answer | Result to establish |
|---|---|---|
| Carrier acceptance | Creator or receiving service | Supported delivery method and correct address format |
| Size, weight and item restrictions | Logistics and receiving service | Whether this parcel qualifies |
| Signature and collection | Creator | Whether the parcel can be accepted and collected in time |
| Charges and failed delivery | Project and logistics owners | Who handles the cost and next action |
For a US example, USPS explains that Street Addressing at participating PO Box locations can allow deliveries from private carriers. Availability, conditions and address format still need checking. That does not mean every PO Box accepts every courier parcel. Confirm arrangements with the actual service and carrier in the relevant country.
Keep the shipping address separate from project progress
A collaboration record can show receiving-method confirmation, the logistics owner, the shipment-record link and the next update. Colleagues without shipping responsibilities usually need those facts rather than the full address. Before forwarding an email, check whether its quoted history unnecessarily includes receiving details.
When updating the OneCrew table, record who confirmed the method and when. A check mark alone gives little context. For a follow-up draft, ask only about the missing condition, such as whether the receiving point accepts signature-required parcels, instead of circulating the complete address again.
A sample-delivery confirmation email
Subject: Confirming how to send your [product] sample
Hi [name], [shipper] plans to send [product and approximate parcel details] around [date], using [carrier].
Please choose a receiving method you are comfortable using; we do not need to default to your home address. Could you first confirm whether your preferred option accepts that carrier and [relevant signature or size requirement]? Please submit the full receiving details to [logistics owner] through [designated channel].
If the arrangement involves receiving or return fees, let us know so we can agree them before shipping. Please also flag any changes before [dispatch checkpoint].
Update the production schedule when delivery changes
Do not mark a creator as waiting to film while the receiving method is still unresolved. Record dispatch, actual receipt and readiness to begin separately. If delivery fails, resolve the shipping problem first and agree a realistic production update.

Start with the receiving-status record in OneCrew, confirm an option that works for both the creator and logistics, then prepare the shipping confirmation. Specific questions are more useful than another generic request for an address.
